With over 10 years experience as a fully qualified Ofsted and NCMA registered childminder, Nikki's Nippers provides a loving, nurturing environment for your child to learn and develop.  Our home based setting provides a safe, friendly atmosphere, and our philosophy of learning through play means your child will not only have lots of fun, but will also develop the skills necessary to help them as they grow.

Based in the charming market town of Chipping Sodbury, South Gloucestershire, Nikki's Nippers offers full and part time child care between the hours of 8am and 6pm.  Our location means we are ideally suited for anyone living in Chipping Sodbury, Yate, Old Sodbury and the surrounding area.  We are just a short walk from both St John Meads Primary School and Chipping Sodbury Secondary School, and can also offer school 'drop off' and 'pick ups' from other local schools and nurseries.

At Nikki's Nippers children learn through a variety of activities, including indoor and outdoor play.  Within our setting we have access to sand and water play, dressing up costumes, as well as the standard toys, books and games. We attend numerous social and toddler groups and undertake trips to local parks, zoos and activity centres, where your child has the opportunity to experience and interact with the world around them.  To view a sample timetable please click here.

Nikki's Nippers was founded by Nicola Gilbert in 2000, and has developed a strong reputation for providing excellent child care services.  Our continued success means we have recently employed an assistant to help us improve and increase our services still further.  Nicola has obtained an NVQ Level 3 in 'Children's Care & Learning Development', as well as completing courses in First Aid Paediatrics, Child Protection, Healthy Eating, Early Years Foundation Stage and in 2009 Nikki's Nippers was awarded "Outstanding" by Ofsted.  To learn more about Nicola please see the About Nikki page.

As well as providing an excellent setting in which children can learn, Nicola is also passionate about healthy eating.  Children at Nikki's Nippers have access to a wide range of home cooked, hot and cold meals and children are encouraged to think and eat healthily by picking fresh fruit and vegetables, baking cakes and learning about where our food comes from.  To see a sample menu please click here.
